Windows VPS
Several servers, one private network
When one VPS becomes an application server, a database server and a file server, a virtual private cloud gives them a network of their own. Quoted on request.
What it is
A virtual private cloud is a private network on Infosaic Cloud with your servers on it. The servers see each other over private addresses that nothing outside your account can reach, like machines on one office LAN. The public side stays as it is: each server keeps its dedicated IP for the internet, and you decide which of them answer on it.
When it makes sense
- An application on one server and its database on another, with the database never exposed to the internet.
- A web front end, a back-office server and a file server that need to share data privately.
- Virtual desktops for staff on the same network as the servers they use, without a VPN on the desktops.
- A dedicated server for the database and a VPS for the front end, on one network.
How it is set up
Tell sales or support what you want on the network - which VPS plans, whether a dedicated server or virtual desktops are involved - and we quote it. The network is built for you; you administer the servers on it as you do any Infosaic server.
The four plans
Four plans of the same Windows Server 2025 machine, from one site to a server full of workloads. Full administrator access, the web stack configured, site transfer and round-the-clock support on all of them.
Common questions
What does a virtual private cloud cost?
It is quoted for your configuration. Email [email protected] or open a ticket with what you want on the network and we will price it.
Can virtual desktops be on the same network?
Yes. A company's virtual desktops and its servers can share one private network, so a desktop reaches the file server or the database without a VPN.
Can I mix a dedicated server and a VPS?
Yes. A dedicated database server with VPS front ends is a common arrangement.
Do the servers keep their public IPs?
Yes. The private network is in addition to each server's dedicated public IP. You choose which servers answer on the public side.
