What each product is
Windows 365 is Microsoft's Cloud PC. You pick a configuration, assign a license to a named user, and Microsoft runs a persistent Windows desktop for that person. Business is aimed at smaller tenants and does not require extra Microsoft licenses to buy. Enterprise and Flex assume Windows Enterprise, Intune, and Entra ID, and they are managed as endpoints inside the Microsoft 365 stack.
Infosaic Cloud is an independent hosting company's Windows 11 virtual desktop, sold as Desktop as a Service and VDI. Four packages cover light browsing through an advanced PC workload. Light ships with Windows 11 LTSC and Office pre-installed but not activated, so the customer brings a license. Every desktop is for one interactive user at a time.
Both products give a personal Windows session rather than a pooled multi-session host. Windows 365 Flex can assign licenses in dedicated or shared modes, still with one active session at a time. Infosaic does not share a desktop among several people.
How you get a desktop
Infosaic's main advantage is instant delivery. After signup the customer receives an email with the login. There is no wait for an image to finish building in a console.
Windows 365 delivery follows Microsoft's license and provisioning flow. An administrator assigns a Cloud PC license, chooses a configuration and a network option, and Intune or the Microsoft 365 admin center provisions the machine. That process is designed to be straightforward once the tenant and licenses are in place. It is not the same as receiving a login the moment the order is placed.
Access on both sides is from a browser or a Remote Desktop client. Infosaic also hands the customer a direct web link. Windows 365 adds the Windows App and the rest of Microsoft's Cloud PC client set.
Control, identity, and software
Every Infosaic desktop includes full administrator rights. That matters when the user needs to install line-of-business software, printers, or tools that a locked-down Cloud PC would block until Intune policy allows them.
Windows 365 is built to be managed like any other Microsoft endpoint. Enterprise customers live in Intune. Local administrator can be enabled, but the product assumes policies, Conditional Access, and Microsoft 365 identity. Office and other Microsoft 365 apps run well when those licenses already exist. They are not a substitute for bringing your own Office license on Infosaic Light.
HIPAA workloads can be discussed with Infosaic because the company has signed Business Associate Agreements before. Compliance of the facility sits with the data center, not with Infosaic, and this page does not list attestations.
Network and isolation
Infosaic places each desktop on Hyper-V isolation in a United States data center. Redundant carriers blend traffic so that if one provider has an outage another continues the path. Each desktop receives a dedicated public IP and unmetered traffic.
Windows 365 on a Microsoft-hosted network keeps addressing and outbound paths under Microsoft. Admins do not receive a dedicated public IP for each Cloud PC on that option, and outbound data is allotted according to the plan. Enterprise customers who need their own address space and on-premises routes can attach an Azure virtual network and pay Azure networking on that path.
Neither product is described here as carrier-neutral. The practical difference is a dedicated public IP and unmetered traffic on Infosaic versus Microsoft-managed or customer-Azure networking on Windows 365.
Packages and who they suit
Light is for light browsing and basic office work: 3 GB RAM, 4 virtual cores, Windows 11 LTSC. Basic is an office desktop replacement and is good for all office applications. Standard is for resource-hungry office applications such as advanced QuickBooks. Advanced is the most powerful package and matches the functionality of an advanced PC.
Windows 365 sells a wider ladder of vCPU, RAM, and storage combinations, including large workstation and GPU configurations on Enterprise and Flex. Those higher rungs exist for organizations already standardized on Intune and Microsoft 365. Infosaic's four packages are meant to be chosen by workload, not by a catalog of SKU names.
Billing, support, and commitments
Infosaic has no contract. Billing is monthly or annual. Support is staffed around the clock. There is no formal SLA.
Windows 365 is a per-user monthly subscription that auto-renews. Business is limited to a few hundred users per tenant. Enterprise has no such cap but requires the supporting Microsoft licenses. Flex exists for shift and occasional use. Microsoft publishes service terms and support for the Cloud PC as part of its online services.
Price lists change. This page states Infosaic's published starting price and does not reprint Microsoft's current per-configuration figures. Compare a like-for-like workload rather than a headline seat cost.
Which one fits
Neither answer is wrong. These are the conditions that decide it.
Choose Infosaic Cloud when
- You want a login email as soon as you sign up, with provisioning time of zero.
- You need a dedicated public IP, unmetered traffic, and full administrator rights.
- You want to pick Light, Basic, Standard, or Advanced without joining Intune first.
- You prefer monthly or annual billing with no contract.
- You may need to talk through a HIPAA workload and a Business Associate Agreement.
Choose Windows 365 when
- Your desktops must live next to Intune, Entra ID, and the rest of Microsoft 365.
- You already hold Windows Enterprise and related licenses and want Cloud PCs managed as endpoints.
- You need Microsoft's larger workstation or GPU configurations.
- You want Flex licensing for shift or occasional users under Microsoft's rules.
- You accept Microsoft-hosted networking, or you will attach your own Azure virtual network.
The four plans
Four packages of the same fast-performing Windows 11 computer, from a light desk for browsing and email to a workstation-class machine. Administrator rights and round-the-clock support on all of them.
Common questions
Is Infosaic Cloud a Windows 365 alternative?
It is a Windows 11 virtual desktop from an independent hosting company. It covers similar personal-desktop jobs. It does not replace Intune or Microsoft 365 identity.
Can more than one person use the same Infosaic desktop at once?
No. A Windows 11 desktop on Infosaic Cloud is one interactive user at a time.
Does Windows 365 give each Cloud PC a dedicated public IP?
Not on the Microsoft-hosted network. Addressing is Microsoft-managed. A customer Azure virtual network is the Enterprise path when you need your own network design.
How fast is Infosaic delivery compared with Windows 365?
Infosaic sends the login email at signup. Windows 365 provisions after a license is assigned in Microsoft 365 admin or Intune.
Do I have to buy Microsoft 365 to use Infosaic?
No. Light includes Office files that are not activated, so you bring your own license if you need Office. Other packages follow the same bring-your-own application model.
Is there a contract or a formal SLA?
Infosaic has no contract and no formal SLA. Support is staffed around the clock. Windows 365 follows Microsoft's subscription and online-services terms.
