Infrastructure
Where your desktop actually lives
A compliance-audited data center in Columbus, Ohio. Redundant carriers with blended traffic and automatic failover, redundant power, N+1 cooling and a staffed operations center.
Power
Standby generators sized to carry the whole building for up to forty-eight hours, with a priority refueling contract behind them. Power reaches the racks on redundant A and B feeds through separate UPS circuits, so a failure on one side does not take a machine down.
Cooling
N+1, held at 72 degrees Fahrenheit with humidity between 30 and 60 percent. A cooling unit can fail without the room getting warm, because the capacity to cover it is already installed and running.
Network
The data center is fed by several independent carriers at once, through separate fiber entry points. Traffic is blended across them rather than pinned to one, and the routing is automatic: if a provider has an outage, its share moves to the others without anyone touching anything, and without your session noticing. No single provider and no single cable route is a point of failure.
Physical security
Access is controlled by key card and biometric authentication through man traps, with video surveillance at every entry and exit point. A network operations center sits on site, staffed around the clock, with alerting on HVAC, generator, fire and environmental events.
Compliance
The facility maintains a PCI, HIPAA and SSAE Type II certified network covering the colocation services it provides. Those attestations belong to the building and the network it runs, which is the accurate way to describe them.
For customers handling protected health information, Infosaic signs Business Associate Agreements. If you have a specific regulatory requirement, raise it before you sign up and we will tell you plainly whether we can meet it.
The platform
The desktops run on Hyper-V hosts managed by Infosaic staff. There is no third-party cloud underneath and no reseller in the chain. Infosaic Cloud is the ultimate hosting platform: the hosts, the storage and the network are managed in-house and kept patched.
Infosaic Technologies has run Windows infrastructure since 2001. The hosting platform, the storage and the network are managed in-house, which is what lets support include the layer under your desktop rather than stopping at it.
The four plans
Four packages of the same fast-performing Windows 11 computer, from a light desk for browsing and email to a workstation-class machine. Administrator rights and round-the-clock support on all of them.
