The shape of it
Five people, five desktops, all the same. Each person signs into their own Windows 11 machine with the same programs installed, and reaches the same shared files. Whether they are at the office, at home or somewhere else makes no difference to the desktop, so it makes no difference to the team.
Basic is the package that suits this: ten gigabytes of memory and eight virtual cores each, which carries a full office workload without anyone waiting on their machine.
Why one desktop each rather than one shared
- A Windows 11 desktop is licensed for one interactive user at a time, so one desktop each is the only arrangement that is both workable and within the license terms.
- Each person keeps their own settings, mail profile and open windows between sessions.
- Adding a person is a sign-up, delivered instantly. Removing one is a cancellation.
- The price is per desktop, with no platform fee and no per-user charge on top.
Setting a team up
Sign each person up on Basic and install the shared applications on each desktop - with administrator rights there is nothing to ask us for. Shared files usually live on a file share, a cloud drive or one of the desktops, whichever the team already uses. If you want the desktops joined to a company domain, talk to us before signing up so the details are right first.
A company account can do this the VDI way instead: configure one Basic desktop as the gold image, ask us to replicate it, and every seat comes out identical on a private network in the cloud that is included at no charge. The VDI page describes the process.

Is there a discount for several desktops?
The price is per desktop at the plan rate, with no platform fee and no per-user charge on top. Contact us if you are looking at a larger number and want to talk it through.
Can we share files between the desktops?
Yes. A file share, a cloud drive or a folder on one desktop shared to the others all work.
Do we need a VPN?
No. Each desktop is reached through a browser link or a Remote Desktop client over an encrypted connection. There is nothing to configure on the office network.
